Dr Jacques BUIS practice was one of the first in Europe to be equipped with the Ultrashape® body contouring solution via ultrasound.
It treats localised fat tissues in a minimum of 3 sessions, with one month between each session, with visible results. Its aim, according to the size of the target areas treated during each session, is to obtain an average reduction of 2 cm in the thickness of fat in the treated area. This technology (focused ultrasounds, developed in Israel in 2003) makes it possible to obtain results that are comparable to liposuctions in areas of localised fat tissues without an overnight hospital stay or side-effects. A classical treatment programme must be accompanied by a healthy lifestyle.
The procedure is performed in the doctor’s practice, without anaesthesia and is not reported to cause any discomfort.
The only side-effects may include some redness or slight swelling. The liver, which will clear away the destroyed fat cells, must not be overtaxed with a rich diet in the days following the procedure, which is why a low fat diet is recommended over the first few days. The result is gradual.
